    Which one of your products is most effective at eradicating fire ants and millipedes?
    I have fire ants nests popping up all around the disposal area and lawn. Also, millipedes all over the exterior walls especially at nights.

    I am wanting to do my own pest control and get rid of my pest company. I want to make sure that I am using a good product to ensure quality results. After looking over my past few treatments from my pest control company, they use a different product each time they come. Thanks for your time!

    The best general pest control can depend on what region you are located in. One of the all time favorite general pest control products is Talstar P. Talstar has a long residual, so it keeps on killing pests for over three months after you've sprayed it.     Could you suggest a good outdoor bug (including ants) spray to go all around my house in East Central Florida?

    Our most popular general use product is called Talstar.  It is widely used by pest control companies because it is labeled for almost every insect you could have a problem with and you can use it outside the home as well as inside, it is odorless and very safe for use around children and pets.  It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water in a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  It will last for 60 to 90 days outside in between treatments.  It is also labeled for lawn and ornamental use, and can be used on trees, plants, bushes and shrubs for all sorts of ornamental pests including Japanese beetles, mosquitoes, and other leaf eating pests. Talstar is also available in a granule formula called Talstar PL if you prefer to use granules.

    I sprayed talstar in my kitchen cabinets and drawers, and just found out that I wasn't supposed to. Now what?

    Is Talstar P (Talstar One) safe to use in an area with a septic tank?
    A
    Talstar P can be safely applied in areas around a septic tank with no problem when used as directed on the product label.  This product binds to soil and does not move through it so it would not leech into the system.

    I own a 2 BR condo on 3rd flr: Florida. HOA does pest control for o/s & common areas. What do I do inside?

    Is Talstar P effective for fleas indoor and outdoors?
    A
    Talstar P is labeled for the treatment of fleas outdoors only. It can only be applied to indoor cracks and crevices. Fleas will be on the open floor surfaces so it is important to apply a product such as Alpine Flea Insecticide with IGR to those surfaces indoors for eradication.

    I sprayed while my dog was in the area and I think directly inhaled Talstar What should I do?
    A
    After Talstar P (Talstar One) has been diluted there is only a large enough active ingredient to harm small insects. With that being said, the label states to keep children and pets out of the area until the area has dried. Please contact your veternarian for further assistance.     I have to repeat use of Talstar after a week.
    A week later was necessary to reapply Talstar. A week Later 1 oz per gallon again because there where mosquitoes in backyard. Arround Wednesday mosquitoes again. Last Monday I used 2 oz per gallon. Not happy with the product.

    We apologize that you feel you are not having success with the Talstar. The Talstar is one of our best products for mosquito control. You must keep in mind that the Talstar is not a contact kill, it is a residual and will take time to control the mosquitoes. It will take several months of spraying once every 30 days only (not every week) to control a population. The product will not put a bubble around your home and stop mosquitoes from flying over from your neighbors yard so if your neighbors are not treating it makes control in your yard harder. When using insecticides to control insects, you are trying to make the yard tolerable but you will never get rid of every last pest for good. If you give the Talstar time to do its job we are certain you will be satisfied like all of our other customers who have used it.     No, Talstar P is NOT labeled to treat edibles. Any fruit treated should be discarded.

    I am painting the outside of my house, can I mix Talstar with the paint before applying?

    We do not recommend mixing Talstar P with paint for application. It can be applied after the paint has dried. It does not stain and holds up will with rain for surface applications.

    When can I apply Talstar P for mosquitoes?
    I sprayed CY Kick CS & Nyguard yesterday for ants, ticks, fleas, and spiders. Can I apply Talstar P for mosquitoes? Is there one product that would address all of these effectively?

    Both Cykick and Talstar will kill most common pest including Mosquitoes. The biggest difference is that Cykick is Microencapsulated and may take longer to kill the pest, Talstar will kill more quickly.

    I am using Talstar for thrips in my garden. What is the gallons/teaspoons mixture that i should use.
    I have to apply Talstar using a two gallon sprayer. What is the mixture that I should use. Also, what is the maximum outdoor temperature for effective application?

    First, if you are referring to edible garden, DO NOT use talstar. If you are referring to non-edible, you would mix 1TBSP Talstar per gallon water.
