Because Talstar P Professional Insecticide is not labeled to spray on fruit trees or any other edible vegetation we really cannot offer advice on using the product for this type of application. We do have many products from Fertilome and Hi-Yield on our site that may be better suited to meet your needs
Since Talstar P Professional Insecticide cannot be used on firewood, we would recommend applying Talstar PL Granular Insecticide around the racks outdoors. Talstar PL would provide long-term protection against labeled insects in your lawn, ornamental gardens and landscaped areas for up to four months.
You will apply Talstar P as a crack and crevice or spot spray to areas where pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors, and windows, behind and under sinks, furnaces, stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas. Do not use it as a space spray. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices. We recommend treating the outside perimeter to help stop insect pests from coming indoors to start with. You can apply Talstar P to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also, treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2 to 3 feet.
You may access the product page for a video on how to do a general pest control application. We would also recommend checking any openings/cracks and covering them appropriately as they may use entry points for the pest.
No, Talstar P (Talstar One) is no longer stable after it has frozen and then thawed back out. We would not recommend using it.

No, Talstar P (Talstar One) is not labeled for moles or grubs and most likely will not provide satisfactory results when used to control them. We do have several products that are specifically labeled for grub worms on our website: Grub Worm Control. We also recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and inquire about the best time to start treatments for grubs in your region. In many parts of the country, the grubs are already matured and they are emerging as adult beetles. For more products and treatment information, please check out our article on How to Get Rid of Moles.
People and pets need to be out of the area while you make the application of Talstar P and until the treated area is completely dry. Once the treated area is completely dry, then it is safe to resume normal activity. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Once Talstar P Professional Insecticide has fully dried it is pet safe.
Talstar P is an insecticide only, it is not an IGR nor does it contain an IGR. Talstar is not really a great choice for indoor flea control because it can not be broadcast sprayed over floors where the fleas tend to harbor. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Fleas for more information on flea eradication.
The mix rate for Talstar P is .5 - 1 oz. per gallon however, Talstar can be applied to any bushes, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas as well as flowering plants like roses. However, you should minimize the spray on the actual flowering rose as you do not want it to get on any bees that help with pollination.
When stored in high temperatures for extended periods of time, the efficacy of Talstar P decreases.
Yes, Talstar P is labeled for bees. If the honeybees contact the product they will be eradicated.
Talstar P is labeled for chiggers outdoors at 1 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft with a pump sprayer every 30 days. Treatments for chiggers should begin in May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge.
