    Can you use Taurus SC after other products have been sprayed around the home?
    Pest control company has been treating for ants around outside service and we still have ant activity.
    A

    Taurus SC is a non-repellent insecticide. This means that ants and other insects cannot tell that it is there and they will readily walk over treated areas. Taurus SC also has a delayed reaction time and a transfer effect which allows the ants time to get back to the colony and spread it around before they succumb to the effects of the product.  So while the product is working you will see activity as it does not repel them from an area.  This is the same for other "repellent" products as they are not true repellents.  You would not want to spray Taurus over any area that another product as been applied as this will null the non-repellent factor of the product.  While the Taurus SC will not actually be deactivated by the other product, it will be much less effective if it is sprayed wth another.  Please take a moment to read over our guide here on the Prevent Ants for the best advice that will include steps to take non-chemically.

    Can you use Taurus SC Termiticide around a lawn area?

    You cannot use Taurus SC out in the lawn as this type of treatment is prohibited by the Taurus product label.  Taurus can only be used on or within one foot of a structure.

    Does Taurus SC stain or discolor a stained wood deck?
    I'm using the product as an ant treatment, and it requires a 1 foot high and 1 foot wide treatment at the foundation. Where my deck is attached to the house, I'd like to also do the same treatment so that ants do not have a "clear path" to the house. Will the finished solution discolor a wooden deck that has already been stained? Thanks!

    No, Taurus SC is a water based product that dries clear. It will not stain a wood deck.

    Is Taurus SC Termiticide dangerous to animals?

    Taurus SC Termiticide should be applied when animals are not present. They can return to the treated areas once the surfaces have completely dried. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

    Do I have to reapply Taurus SC after a rain storm?
    I applied Taurus SC around the foundation of my home two days ago and today it rained pretty hard for about half an hour. Do I have to reapply?

    If the Taurus SC was applied more than 24 hours before it rained, you should not need to reapply.

    I want to spray treat around my boat house; how close to the lake should Taurus Sc be?

    Taurus SC Termiticide should only be applied around the outside perimeter of the sturcture 1 foot up and out. You do not want to apply anywhere where it could run off into lake. It is toxic to aquatic life. Be sure that the application is at least 15 feet from lake.

    Will Taurus sc kill flowers and plants in my landscape?

    Taurus sc will not harm flowers. Be sure that you are only applying Taurus sc 1 foot up and out around the outside perimeter of the structure.

    Crawl space under my family room
    I got a crawl space under my family room and surrounding by concrete blocks. It is below ground. I found termites in that area. I just started trenching 6x6" outside around my house. Do I still need to trench my crawl space under my family room?

    For a termite treatment, you will want to trench around and treat the soil surrounding any part of your home that touches the ground. This means that you would treat the crawlspace area the same as you would around the exterior of your home. Dig a 6x6 inch deep trench around any post or cinder blocks in the crawlspace and pour the Taurus SC mixture into that soil.

    Can Taurus SC be diluted enough to use indoors, or other similar product in bulk?- must contain fipronil.
    Trying to end Cheyletiella mite infestation. I've been going through hell for over a year. This mite spreads from bunny rabbits to dog and cats, and will also feast on keratin layer of human skin. Infests the home environment and can live off it's host from 2 days to several weeks. The eggs can be laid and hatch from anywhere - fabric, the floor, clothing, etc. It's taken me over 9 months to identify the problem, now I cannot get rid of it. Fipronil spray works on my pet, but I need to treat the inside of my home with a more economical solution in bulk that will work for good. Any help much appreciated!

    Taurus SC is NOT labeled for mites or indoor applications. We do not contain a fipronil product that is labeled for this type of application indoors or for the specific insect that you are treating. We highly recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office for a product selection that will best fit your needs with this particular active ingredient.

    How much Taurus solution per ace from a pull behind sprayer?
    A
    Taurus SC should NOT be applied in a pull behind sprayer for insect control. It should be applied up against the structure in a trench for termites and topically for ant control directly against the foundation using a hand pump sprayer.     If I trench and treat the outside of the foundation must I treat the crawl space side as well?
    Is it necessary to trench and treat both sides of the foundation? I realize it is important to treat the piers in the crawl space.

    When using a product like Taurus SC, so long as you trench the outside wall of the foundation and the piers in the crawl space, you do not have to trench the inside wall of the foundation.

    Is it safe to apply Taurus SC in a crawl space as a surface spray for ants/termites?
    Also, do I need to wear a ventilator or mask when applying?

    Yes, Taurus SC can be used as a general spray around the foundation of the crawlspace for ants, however it will not be as effective on termites unles you do a proper termite trench treatment inside the crawl space areas. We would recommend using a mask like the N95 valved respirator mask when applying the product in tight areas with low air flow like a crawl space.

    If I use Taurus SC (9.1%) Fipronil in or around vegetable garden to treat termites, will the fruit become contaminated?

    Taurus cannot be used in a garden or on edible vegetation. Termidor SC can only be used on or immediately adjacent (within 1-2 ft) to a structure.
