    Q
How effective is Temprid SC on fleas if the whole yard is sprayed?
    A
Temprid SC would be effective for outdoor flea treatments when used as directed on the product label. For fleas, concentrate treatments in areas where pets or animals are known to rest, as these areas are larval breeding hot spots. Treat the entire area where these pests could be present. Since fleas eggs and larva are protected from insecticides you will need to reapply Temprid SC every 14 days until the flea cycle has been broken. Fleas and ticks may be reintroduced from surrounding areas by host animals.

  • Asked by Deldrick from Grand Forks, Nd
    10/25/2014
    Q
I am applying Temprid SC to a office building.
What areas should be covered? Do you apply to the outside of the building also?
    A
When spraying Temprid SC indoors, you will spray along the baseboards and cracks and crevices in all areas of the building. Temprid SC can also be sprayed outdoors around the perimeter of the structure. You will mix 8 mL per gallon of water in a pump sprayer. Temprid SC will last up to 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors.

  • Asked by Stephanie from Hagerstown
    09/02/2014
    Q
How long after being mixed can Temprid be used
    A
You would want to use within 24 hours after mixing with water.  You should not store diluted Temprid SC (or most other diluted insecticides for that matter) for more than 24 hours because the acids in the water will start to degrade the product making it ineffective. Leftover dilution can be disposed of by pouring it out right up against the  foundation of your structure outside.

    Q
Should I scrub cabinets down before or after treatment with Temprid SC? also, floors and baseboards?
    A
Temprid SC Insecticide works best when applied to an area that has already been cleaned. This will allow for the insecticide to get into the cracks and crevices.  Be sure to follow the product label for correct areas of application.

  • Asked by Boelden from Gatesville Tx

    Q
Do I need a license for Temprid, Exciter, Permethrin, or neporexane?
    A
In most states you do not need a license to use the products on our website if you are using them on your own property. You will need a license if you are treating other people's property for profit. There are some products on our website that are restricted in certain states and if you are in the named state you will not be able to purchase that product. The state restrictions are listed on each individual product page like Temprid.

    Q
How much Temprid SC Insecticide should I mix with a 1 Liter capacity sprayer?
I have a 1 liter capacity sprayer. I know it may get complicated to measure since 8 ml temprid should be mixed with a gallon of water but i do not need a gallon of mixture for the size of room im treating. Is it safe to do half of 8ml for the liter?
    A

If you are using a 1 Liter capacity sprayer, then you would need 2 mL of the Temprid SC Insecticide

  • Asked by Mark from Provo

    Q
I left Temprid in the trunk of my car on a 95 degree day. Could this ruin it and cause it to be ineffective?
    A
If the Temprid was only left in the hot weather for a day or so, the effectiveness of it will not be deplenished. The shelf life would only be affected if you were permanently storing it in those types of conditions over an extended period of time.

  • Asked by Tara from Chicago Il

    Q
Which sprayer do you recommend purchasing to apply Temprid SC with?
    A
Just about any 1 gallon pump sprayer will do. We prefer the Chapin  Premier 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer 21210XP because of the brass construction in the shutoff valve, wand and nozzle. Makes for great applications. All of the parts are replaceable when they wear out and when cared for properly will last for many years.

    07/27/2011
    Q
How many time have to use Temprid SC with in a day?
    A
Temprid SC leaves a residual behind so you should not apply it more than once every 7-10 days for bedbugs and not more than once a month for other insects (the product label does allow you to reapply Temprid SC every 7-10 days for other insects if there is a strong pest pressure). Please take a few moments to read the Temprid SC product label and the Temprid SC supplemental product label so that you can be sure your are using the product correctly.

  • Asked by Javier from Van Nuys California
    08/30/2011
    Q
TEMPRID SC MATA LOS HUEVOS DE LAS CHINCHES "BED BUGS" SI NO QUE PRODUCTO PARA MESCLAR LO HACE? GRACIAS
    A

  • Asked by Jason from New Hampshire
    03/15/2016
    Q
Would Temprid SC be a good product for both Carpenter Ants & Carpenter Bees?
I have used a combo of Bifen IT, Phantom, and Termidor around my place for the past 5 years, alternating etc. - I have noticed that my products do not seem to kill carpenter bees. - Is there a singular product that can successfully control all of the following: carpenter ants, roaches, carpenter bees, termites, springtails, etc.
    A

Temprid SC is labeled for a wide variety of insects, that includes Carpenter Ants and Carpenter Bees. We recommend to follow the label instructions. We also recommend using baits for Carpenter Ants, such as our Indoor Carpenter Ant Kit, and a dust like Delta Dust to treat into each Carpenter Bee hole. We recommend to go over each treatment article for Carpenter Ants and Carpenter Bees for further information. Another product worth looking into is Demon WP.

    Q
Which is better for ants Temprid SC or Tempo SC?
    A

Temprid SC Insecticide would be best for ants. We would recommend applying Temprid SC monthly outside and once every three months indoors. Depending on what type of ants you have you can use other techniques to control ants such as baiting. Please visit our Ant Guide

  • Asked by Angie from Flat Lick, Ky
    09/14/2016
    Q
Is a bottle of Temprid SC purchased Sept, 2014 and unused still good?
    A

Temprid SC will last for at least three years when stored in the original container (tightly sealed of course), out of direct sunlight and out of extreme temperatures.  Many concentrates contain different active ingredients, some heavier than others so they can separate if left on a shelf for a few months.  It is no problem though.  Just shake the bottle for about 10 to 15 seconds and the solution will reset and look normal.

My dog was exposed to Temprid and displays signs of nervous system damage. Will the symptoms dissapate?

We are sorry to hear that your dog may be having complications. Normally, after dilution, Temprid is not strong enough to harm dogs. Since, it appears he is showing signs of sensitivity, we recommend to contact the dogs vet immediately.

  • Asked by Tracy from Erie
    11/01/2015
    Q
Can I use Temprid SC at the same time with Advion gel baits?
I'm treating a unit with Temprid SC for cock roaches and bed bugs...the bed bug issue is resolved but the cock roach issue is on going...wanting to add baits in addition to the Temprid SC...the cockroach population has been diminished greatly but wanted to add additional treatment...how do i use both...any helpful tips...please thank you
    A

Yes, Advion Roach Bait Gel can be used at the same time as Temprid SC. Make sure you put the bait in areas where you cannot spray, such as inside cabinets, drawers, etc. Do not spray the bait because this will contaminate it and the roaches will not consume it.

It is also recommended that you mix the Temprid SC with an insect growth regulator, such as Gentrol IGR. This will stop the life cycle of the roaches. This lasts approximately three months. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
