Temprid SC and Suspend SC are both products that contain different active ingredients that are classified as a synthetic pyrethroid so they really are very similar in the way that they work. Unlike Suspend, Temprid offers a unique dual mode of action by combining two powerful and effective residual insecticides: beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid. (Imidacloprid is in a different class of insecticides, neonicotinoids.) The result is Temprid, which provides quick knockdown and long residual control and works great for resistance strains of some pests. It all comes down more to what you are treating for when deciding which would be best for your situation. If the soil was treated topically with Dominion 2L within the past six months, I would wait to apply the Temprid SC up against the structure in the same area. If the area was treated prior to that time, you can apply Temprid SC for a perimeter treatment for the other insects that crawl on top of the soil.
Typically one gallon of finished solution of Temprid SC will cover 1000 square feet.
When measuring Temprid be sure to keep the lid on the right side closed. Remove the lid on the left side and squeeze the bottom of the bottle until the product goes up the straw and into the measure cup.

Yes, Advion Roach Bait Gel can be used at the same time as Temprid SC. Make sure you put the bait in areas where you cannot spray, such as inside cabinets, drawers, etc. Do not spray the bait because this will contaminate it and the roaches will not consume it.
It is also recommended that you mix the Temprid SC with an insect growth regulator, such as Gentrol IGR. This will stop the life cycle of the roaches. This lasts approximately three months. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
When you are spraying Temprid SC for bed bugs, it is recommended that you spray every 7-10 days until you do not see activity for 30 days. How long the product takes to work depends on how severe the problem is to begin with, your other treatment methods, and how thorough treatments are. Temprid SC does offer a long residual, however it is important to perform follow-up treatments at close intervals to kill newly hatched bed bugs that may be present in the area. Please see our Bed Bug Treatment article for more information.
It is recommended that you keep pets out of the area when Temprid SC is wet. Once it is dry, it is rainfast and does not reactivate when it gets wet. If the product did not have time to dry before it rained, the effectiveness will decrease.
With regards to the animals, we would recommend contacting your vet and/or poison control if they are displaying unusual symptoms.
Temprid SC Insecticide is a concentrated procuct that you mix with water and apply with a pump sprayer following the rates listed on the product label. We have a great video that shows where to spray for perimeter and interior spraying. Please click here to see the video. We do have excellent Pest Guides on several different types of flies, and we would be happy to offer additional advice with information about what specific kind of fly you are treating and in what area (inside, outside, residential, commercial, etc.).

Be sure to check the settings on your hose end sprayer for the correct dosage you are using.
