Mice Prefer Rice
By Julie on 05/18/2017
I have filled and placed four bait boxes. Three outside in the back yard where we can hear the mice and rats chirping and one in the kitchen pantry after noticing that they had chewed through a bag of rice located there. The next day, a mouse ran out of the pantry when I opened the door! I was hoping that it ate the bait and would die soon. NOT! The day after that, there was rice all over the items in the pantry all the way to the floor. I had to throw the rice away. The new bag had feces and urine on it. Yuck! Now that the rice is gone, hopefully, they will eat the bait. May have to switch to traps or sticky pads.
Expert response:
We are sorry to hear that the Blox is not performing up to your expectations. Rat baits are terrific tools to use in a rat treatment program. Unfortunately, competing food sources will always be an issue with rats choosing the bait over the new food source. It is important to know that some species of rats can take several weeks to eliminate them with baits. During this time all competing food sources should be kept in sealed containers. We do hope this information helps and you continue to use the Blox until all of the rats are gone. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are always happy to help!

They seem to be working
By Alexis on 11/19/2011
To be honest, it's a bit early to tell, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I can't confirm that the mice have been eating the bait, because I can't see any obvious bite marks, but ever since I put these out a few weeks ago, I haven't seen a mouse or a fresh dropping. We are moving into fall, after a very hot summer, which may change things as the mice begin to seek warmth and food, but so far, so good. I have two little wiener dogs. One likes to hunt and eat mice. I like knowing that he won't die if he eats a mouse with this poison in it's system. We have birds of prey around here too, and I don't want to kill the hawks that nest in our trees. We are ethical vegans and have tried all the natural ways to get rid of mice without killing them, but we eventually gave in and got this poison as a last effort. It appears to be working. We haven't seen any dead mice and can't be certain it's the bait, but I haven't had mouse issues since we started using it, so I am optimistic. We use it in the garage and inside the house. I have only put out about 10 blocks at most so far, and it seems to have done the trick! I will come back and change my rating after the cold sets in if I begin to see mice again.

Best Rodent Bait Ever
By Sjh on 07/05/2016
I have purchased at least four varieties over the course of 5 years. Many have different chemical compositions and this one is the best for me. Warehouse application (100K), the rat(s) take's the bait and disappear forever. It appears my four legged friends gorge on these blocks for about 7 days, then disappear. I refill my outdoor and indoor feeders every 45 days. I utilize 18 Lbs every year. No sign of them anywhere. Security cameras have no record of them either. Great product, more expensive than most. Buy the best!

Rodents won't eat bait
By Glen on 04/25/2020
I've used this bait at home and by my church. In my home bait station I've used it side by side with JT Eton bait. The green Eaton blocks are chewed on not Terad3 blox. A friend is using it and has to break the blox up and mix with peanut butter to get the rats to eat it. The EPA messed everything up. The old D Con rodenticide worked great.

Finally, a safe rat poison!
By Kristi on 05/29/2020
EZ to use, won't kill my dog if she eats a poisoned rodent! I zip-tied some inside my hedges and the rats love it. Even put some in the attic, worked like a charm. They must have gone somewhere else to die, which is OK with me. Now I keep a couple of bloks up there just in case. 1st time in 3 years I don't hear rats in the attic!!! Yay!! ???? A word of warning . . . Dogs just love the bloks, DON'T put them where your pets or kids can get to them.

Great for PackRats!
By Bobc on 04/20/2018
Pack Rats are a problem year around in southern Arizona, but springtime is particularly bad. I could not find my normal bait, so I tried this. I put it in two traps on the sides of the house. I checked the bait every couple of days. I could see where there were a few nibbles but not too much. At first I was disappointed, but then I started finding dead rats around the lot. It works and it works well!!!

Bye bye rats!
By Laurie on 02/15/2018
If you have chickens, you'll eventually have rats. I have barn cats that do a good job but every now and then, there is a rat population explosion and the cats can't keep up. I won't use anything that causes secondary poisoning and was thrilled to find Terad 3. I placed it in bait boxes around the perimeter of the chicken coop and within two weeks, there was no evidence of rats to be found. And, all the barn cats are free of harm. It's a great product. I did put a little chicken food (the rat's favorite snack) in the bait boxes initially to coax them in. But, once they found the bait, they ate it right up and croaked.

least toxic method
By Pamela on 03/05/2021
Terad blox seem to do the trick to eliminate rats without secondary poisoning, which is a main concern. I've used them along with other herbal methods and they are effective by using vitamin D as an anti-coagulant. I'm glad to find a relatively non-toxic approach to pest control.

Mice
By Linda on 12/01/2017
I am always scared and uneasy using poison as I have a barn cat, horses, and geese. I have noticed nibbling on the poison which was about a week ago. Today I found a well trampled Mouse in my horses stall. I have not seen any droppings or indications of mice or rats. My barn cat is doing fine and I feel that all is well. I'm relieved to find a poison which my cat and other predators are a little safer. I only wish it came in a smaller quantity.

I purchased this hoping for the best as we have a number of dogs and I've always been worried about using other baits. Well this works great! I was some activity in the bait station and a few days later I found dead rats. Thank you!

Worked for me
By Jc on 11/03/2015
Put them in my bait station and had activity right away, activity and rats starting to disappear, the bait stops there appetite so I expected a slow down on the bait. As designed so far not activity after 3 days. We fight roof rat yearly. Going to keep my bait station out all year long with Terad3 blocks.

Spring-ish time and the Tetrad3 is disappearing.
By Mikicab on 02/26/2025
I have had a few bait stations out with 1 or 2 blocks of Tetrad3. The blocks are now disappearing 1 whole block or more a day. This is normal and hopefully in a few weeks I will see the feeding go down which should mean this is working. I have owls in my backyard and don't want to harm them so I only use second kill safe baits. I go through this every year and just try to keep the population manageable and keep the rats out of my garage, house and car. It might not seem like they are eating it but when they do they gobble this Tetrad3 down like they are at an all you can eat buffet.
