Rodding under the slab of a house from the exterior is a complex and detailed process that we do not recommend attempting yourself. We recommend that you contact a local reputable termite company for an inspection and estimate for something like this. If you have termites in the home, then you can spot treat where there are active termites using a ready-to-use termiticide foam such as Termidor Foam which will transfer throughout the rest of that termite colony.
When treating a block foundation, you should drill a hole in each void so there would be 2 holes per block. The holes should be no more than 18 inches high. Usually you want to drill on the second row of blocks high from the ground. In addition to drilling the holes, you should also trench and treat the outside foundation wall and the inside foundation wall if you have a crawl space. After drilling the holes, you are supposed to apply 2 gallons of solution per 10 lineal feet into the blocks. For filling trenches and drill holes going vertically into slabs, you should apply 4 gallons per 10 lineal feet. Please let us know if you have any further questions. How To Perform A Termite Treatment
Termites do not normally attack live, healthy trees so you most likely will not find any products that will work as a ground barrier around the trees. Most people are primarily concerned with protecting the big investment, their home, and Termidor SC would be the product to use for that. It is only labeled to be used adjacent to the structure though. Please take a moment to read over our article on "How to do a Termite Treatment" for complete details.
Yes, we are here to provide you with the same products the pros use, but for less. We are so happy you were able to review our How To videos. Termidor SC once put into the soil will last up to ten years.
