Termidor SC can only be applied around the foundation of your home or other building structure for pest control. You cannot use the product around the fence because it is not labeled for this type of application. It can be used to trench only around the fence posts if treating for termites. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
You would want to wait until Termidor SC has dried completely before staining.
Termidor SC is safe if the pets are not in the area during treatment and until the surface area is completely dried. Then it is safe for them to re-enter.
Termidor will treat ants. You want to mix 0.8 fl oz. for each gallon of water. Please follow the label instructions as Termidor is only labeled as an ant treatment to be used above ground to the exterior foundation walls of your house, creating a treated area of protection for excellent ant control. And only to be applied twice a year.
You will need to use 1 gallon of solution per 10 sq. ft. of area at a rate of 0.80 oz. per gallon of water. You would need 630 gallons to treat the soil which is 20 bottles of Termidor SC. We suggest using 2 cases of Taurus SC Termiticide 78oz, each 78 oz bottle does around 100 gallons of solution.
Termidor is labeled to control roaches but it's not labeled to be used indoors. Please take a look at our Roach Control Guide for information on how to control roaches. We also have Roach Kits that have the products you need to do a roach treatment indoors.
Termidor SC should only be sprayed against the foundation as directed or applied as a backfill method as directed on the label. Do not apply Termidor SC within 5 feet of a well or cistern. Treatment within 5 to 10 feet of a well or cistern must be done by backfill method only (removing the dirt to be treated and replacing it after it has been treated elsewhere or in a container such as a wheelbarrow).
Termidor SC is not labeled for fleas and it is also not labeled for use in a lawn so it is not what we recommend for outdoor flea control. Suspend SC is labeled for fleas and for indoor use, but it is not the best choice for indoor flea control because you can not broadcast spray it over carpeted areas. We recommend you use our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit to get rid of fleas in and around your home. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Fleas for a successful eradication program.
Yes, Termidor SC can be applied at the rate of 0.8fl oz per gallon of water to trees, wood fences, decking, landscape timbers, and other similar wood-to-soil contact materials. If possible, locate and treat the interior-infested cavity by injection.
Please refer to the Termites or Carpenter Ants in Trees or Nonstructural Wood or Wood-to-soil Contacts Section on page 13 of the product label for more information.
termidor SC is not allowed to be used anywhere other than around the foundation of the home 1-2 feet up and 1-2 feet out. It cannot be broadcast across yards or flowerbeds for any type of insect control, especially with sandy soils. If you want an insecticide that can be broadcast across the yard for ant and general insect control we would recommend something like Talstar P. It is a great general and broad-use insecticide that you mix at the rate of 1oz per gallon of water.
No, Termidor SC is not labeled for white grubs. You can use Dominion 2L Termiticide instead if you are looking for a liquid or Merit 0.5 G Insecticide Granules if you are looking for a granule. Both will work, just depends if you prefer to apply with a spreader or a sprayer.
Termidor SC works best if applied in a trench around the fence post. Another option will be using BoraCare. Boracare will penetrate into the wood and last for the lifetime of the wood if applied to raw unpainted wood. Once the Boracare has been applied to the fence, you will need to seal/stain/paint it to keep the rain from slowly washing it away over the years. If sealed, the Boracare will last for the life of the wood after application.
Termidor SC is not labeled for treating fire ants.
Termidor SC is labeled to control most ant species including acrobat, Argentine, big-headed, carpenter, crazy, odorous, pavement, pharaoh, and thief ants.
No, Termidor SC is not labeled for Japanese Beetles. Please take a look at our products that can help with Japanese beetles: https://www.domyown.com/japanese-beetles-c-256.html.
Yes, you want to treat the crawl space with Termidor SC per product label instructions. On the exterior wall where there may or not be gravel/french drain, you either have to move the gravel and treat the soil below it, and keep a close eye on the home throughout the year to make sure termites don't sneak through the gravel and bypass the soil, or you can use bait stations a few feet from the foundation past the gravel or within it to monitor for activity. You can treat the soil under the gravel in addition to bait stations around the perimeter as well if you would like to do both.
Termidor SC has a residual of up to 6 months at the 0.06% dilution rate, and up to 3 months at the 0.03% dilution rate.
Termidor SC can be used with turf mark blue without affecting its performance. Just keep in mind that the dye may stain the siding of the house or concrete & Termidor can only be used around the perimeter of a structure
Termidor SC cannot be used in a fogging machine. It needs to be mixed with water and applied using a pump-up sprayer.
