"Even though in my 60's I only last year decided to start learning how to better care for my 5 acres---two of it grass/lawn. The previous owners did nothing so it has been quite the project to include clearing junk trees and such out of the front one acre. I've now used DoMyOwn several times and while I may not know if they have the best prices or not I am pleased with the level of customer service. Just dealt today with Amber (mostly) and I believe Shelly (briefly). over the phone. "As a widowed person who is getting up there in age, this site is a real pleasant surprise. I had been spending a fortune at big box stores for fertilizers and pre-emergents. No more. This site provides economical products that actually work. With a huge yard full of flower beds, the pre-emergents are worth looking into. Just know the limits of your physical strength in buying large bags. For my rural location, my products come to my door...very nice compared to trying to get huge bags out of the car and into shelter."
