I have termites that ate thru my pool liner and destroyed my liner. I am going to replace with a new liner. I need something that I was told I need a repellent are they repellent ?
Bifen XTS does not really make it that much better than the normal Talstar P, its just that one quart container can make much more than the equivalent Tasltar. The normal mixture rate for Talstar is 0.5-1.0 ounce per gallon of water. When using Bifen XTS, you only need about a third of an ounce to make the same treatment. So you can make many more gallons of solution from one container of Bifen XTS. Talstar P lasts 1 year in the soil for termites and Bifen XTS will last 3-5 years in the soil for termites. Taurus SC would be a better long term treatment for Subterranean Termites as this will eliminate a active termite colonies within 90 days and provide a 10 year barrier protection against future termites. Taurus SC can be applied directly to the soil before installing the new pool liner at the rate of 0.8 fl oz per gallon of water per 10 sq ft area to be covered. After treating the soil and installing the new pool liner, you will want to apply Taurus SC as a trench treatment around the perimeter at the rate of 4 gallons (3.2 fl oz + 4 gallons of water) of mixed solution every 10 linear feet. View the Taurus SC product label for more information.
