What is the range for the remote control? How far away can you be for it to work?

A

Per the manufacturer: The Tomahawk Remote Control Drop Trap Trigger with Prop and Attachment Bracket (DTRC100) should work for about 200 feet. The 4-AA batteries will only last a couple of hours before they run low and need to be replaced. We recommend using new AA batteries before any trapping event.

What is effective range, and what type of interference could cause the pin to retract on it's own? Batteries are fully charged.
