Treat irrigated horse pastures for misquitos

3 acres in Arizona Terrible mosquito problem after irrigating or rain Horses eat the grass

Answer:

Altosid® Pro-G may be applied as directed to temporary and permanent sites which support mosquito larval development such as irrigated horse pastures. Altosid Pro-G releases effective levels of the active ingredient Methoprene—a natural larvicide and IGR (insect growth regulator)—into the treated water source for up to 30 days after application. Exposed larvae will develop normally to the pupal stage, then die before becoming breeding, biting adults. Using the application rate table included with the product label, measure and then sprinkle the appropriate amount of Altosid Pro-G evenly over the surface of the water to be treated. To maintain optimal control, you should continue application of Altosid Pro-G every 30 days throughout the season. One 2.5 pound container of Altosid Pro-G will treat up to 5,445 square feet of water. When used according to the product label, this product will not cause any adverse affects in humans, animals, fish or vegetation.
