Damn Bees
By Mikey on 04/18/2010
I tried to use the plastic plugs on 10 bee holes under my deck. I found that the bees were not given enough training to consistently create perfect 1/2" holes in the wood. These plugs could not be hammered into many of the holes. I ended up bringing a drill with a 1/2" spade bit outside. After not being able to get to some with the bit, I abandoned the plug theory and brought out my caulk king gun. That worked. It might help to taper the nose of these plugs to allow you to get it seated and then driving it home. They sound great in theory but were not consistently able to do what was advertised.
Expert response:
Thank you for your feedback. Some of the 1/2 inch plugs have not been working for Carpenter Bee holes. This has never been an issue until this year. For now, we'd recommend using the 3/8 inch plugs for carpenter bees, which seem to be working well for our customers. You can find the Trebor 3/8 inch plugs here.

Trebor Plugs a Great Deal in many ways!
By Batty on 08/21/2011
I love these plugs and neither Lowes or Home Depot has them. Instead of plugging holes made in patio and/or other concrete areas around the house with concrete or cauk fillers which often don't match in color the T-plugs make holes look neat and uniform. All I have to do the next time I treat is drill through the Trebor Plug/retreat/re-plug so I keep a good supply on hand. I simply place the T-plug in the 1/2 inch hole and pound lightly until they a flush with stone surface.Ideal!. I've been using Dominion 2L to treat for termites and have been doing a very thorough job all the way around the house. This will save the cost of a hired treatment service every year or two by far. Thank you. I plan to keep ordering we needed.

Trebor Plugs - Excellent Product
By Barry on 10/06/2010
I had to treat my home for termites by drilling hundreds of 1/2'" holes in my cinder blocks. I started filling the holes with mortar mix. The mix was falling out of my hands onto the basement floor. My hands were cramping from constantly trying to push mortar into the holes and it was a pain. I found these plugs which simply get tapped from a hammer and the hole is plugged! If future treatment is needed, I will push this plug through the block with a round chisel, retreat and install a new plug. These are well worth the money. Many hours of labor saved and no mortar to clean up! These plugs seal 100% of the hole. No need to worry about air infiltration.

plug a hole
By Ron on 07/18/2020
I used these after drilling a 1/2" holes into a cement slab injected insecticide into the slabs that were drilled after I was done with my applications I went around to each hole using a rubber hammer and popped them in have had no pop outs and the have stayed flush to the cement slab and being lite gray they also do not stick out after inserting them Now in a year I should be able to pull them out and reapply my insecticide and install new plugs with out having to re-drill

Trebor Plastic Plugs 1/2" & 3/8"
By Diana on 06/06/2016
I ordered the to fill bee holes but they were too large and was unable to use them. Went back to site and saw they had smaller ones. Ordered the 3/8" size and they fit perfectly. So if you want to fill bee holes, buy the 3/8" size. Well made and easy to install.

Very Useful
By Ramon on 07/15/2022
Very easy to use. You can still cover with concrete filler if you want to try and match your surface color, but in my experience you can never hide the holes anyway. And this will make it easy in 10 yrs when treatment is due again.

Trebor plugs
By Mark on 07/07/2023
These plugs work. I had bought some plugs off of Amazon and a couple of days after installing them I noticed that a lot of them were cracking and falling apart. I ordered the trabor plugs from do my own and installed them where the others had cracked. It's been a couple of weeks now and the plugs are fine, no signs of cracking. I should have ordered these when I ordered my termite treatment

Carpenter Bee Hole Plugs
By Jim on 06/11/2012
I have carpenter bee holes by the hundreds and could not find the small corks I used in the past to plug the hole after I put the powder in to kill them. They must be used in construction for something else but they do not fit into the holes at all. If someone locates the small corks they work great. I returned them and they issued credit without any problems.

Small gap around plugs.
By Tommy on 09/12/2024
Maybe my 1/2 in drill bit is a little bigger than 1/2 in or these are a little smaller. I was hoping I could put these in the 1/2 holes in my concrete patio but they have a small gap around the top. It doesn't look as nice as I thought it would. Would be better if these had like a slightly larger cap on top to cover the gap nicely. They would work well to shove into a hole if you need a base to keep filler from falling through.
