You just need to make sure you are getting the correct amount of product over the recommended amount of space. We would recommend using 1.5 fl oz of Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide in 1 gallon of water over 1,000 sq ft to help make the application a little easier to figure out. You will need to select 1.5 oz on your dial if it pulls that amount per gallon based on your setting.

In most cases, it is not necessary to use an insecticide for crane fly larvae control. If damage is severe we would recommend using 1 fl oz of Bifen IT per gallon of water to cover each 1,000 sq ft for the initial treatment and then .5 fl oz per gallon of water for follow up treatments.
