Surface provide structure and porosity similar to perlite but without the unfortunate tendency of perlite to float to the surface of the soil when water is added. Potting soil for plants that will not be repotted for a considerable time must have structure (presence of additives that don't break down) and retain its ability to be porous so that air can penetrate.

I use Turface for amending potting soil and for making a succulent soil mix. Was always buying small baggies until I found this site. Good price on the Turface plus free shipping! Best deal on the Internet. Got the Turface in about 4 days. I'll order from this site again.

i first learned about turface from bonsai growers on ebay.encourages tiny roots.i still didnt connect the dots that it was designed for sports feilds.i bet it works great in that aspect because it sure does for me just mixing into bonsai soil or all potted plants.this company delivered my purchase very quickly every time i ordered and sent communication when mail was a little late one time.excellent service.thanks very much,AlBlood

I use this product underneath top garden soil, since it keeps regular soil looking nice and fresh. Also, when it rains, this product keeps the bottom soil from washing away along with a nice touch of color on top. That is, this turf product is pretty too!

I bought this to improve the soil for my succulents so I don't have to worry so much about overwatering when it rains. I'm mixing 1:1 with potting soil. Really sensitive ones see only 25% potting soil. Shipping was quick and the 50lb bag means that maybe I have enough to last a while.
