No, Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide is not labeled for use on residential lawns or near desirable trees or shrubs. This product has a very long half-life and may remain in the soil near the application for years, so we would not expect anything new to be able to establish next spring. Also keep in mind that Tordon RTU is not labeled for spirea or other Rosaceae plants. If you have cut down existing shrub, then you can prevent regrowth by applying a product with glyphosate or triclopyr, such as Fertilome Brush and Stump Killer, to the freshly cut stumps.Â
