I have treated this lawn in the past with over the counter retail products with limited success. The grub population is pretty heavy in specific areas, so spot treatment would be helpful, though I usually treat the entire lawn. I am interested in an active material that has residual value, so treated areas remain pest free for at least six to eight weeks. Liquid spray or dry
You can use either a liquid or a granule insecticide for grub prevention in the Spring. It is too late to applying anything this year unless you were still seeing actively feeding grubs and used a curative treatment like Dylox Granules. You can use this Grub Inspection Guide to help you determine if there is a grub problem in your turf. You should always treat the entire area for grub control. In the Spring, you can use Merit Granules or Dominion 2L to treat the lawn preventatively. Please see our Grub Treatment Guide for more information.
