Marianne from Otter Tail Lake, Minnesota writes

What is a surfactant, and would I need it with the Rodeo herbicide I have already received?

Any dangers?

Answer:

A surfactant is a product that helps herbicide, fungicides, or insecticides to work more effectively by reducing the water tension when you spray, minimizing drift and making spraying more even. We have an article here with more details. If you are using Rodeo Herbicide, then you should use a surfactant with it, such as DyneAmic.  While many glyphosate herbicides already contain a surfactant, those which are labeled for aquatic use usually require that you add a surfactant separately.
