How far will the sound carry to scare off the birds?
The Bird Barrier Bird Gard 110v Pro 1 (sd-bg40) puts out a sound in a cone type pattern that can work effectively to deter birds roughly 100 feet from the unit. You can typically hear it from further, but the most effective range will be within that 100 foot zone. The manufacturer stated you also can get an additional speaker to attach to the 100 foot cable to expand the reach of the zone if needed for your area.
