I've read mosquitos can build a tolerance to Bifen IT if used too often so to alternate a different chemical in. What's the best alternate product to use every third time I spray that doesn't use the same active ingredient?
While yes, insects can develop a resistance to the same active ingredients with the same modes of action, this usually takes years of exposure to that same chemical to develop a resistance. For a rotation insecticide with Bifen IT when targeting mosquitoes, Temprid FX would be recommended as this contains 2 active ingredients (beta Cyfluthin & Imidacloprid) to help prevent resistance.

For mosquitoes key is to apply to the underside of leaves on trees/bushes which is there the adults lay during the day, as well as shady areas. You would not treat entire areas of the lawn that are in full sun as it is not habitable for them there.
