John from Lawton, Mi writes

What should I use to treat gypsy moths on spruce trees?

Answer:

A great product to use for gypsy moths and similar caterpillars would be a product containing natural Spinosad, such as Conserve SC. This should be applied during the spring caterpillar feeding stage with thorough coverage on all leaf surfaces. Conserve SC is great if you have a large area or number of trees to treat. If you are only treating a few trees, then you could use Monterey Garden Insect Spray.
