When you apply Pendulum will depend on the type of weed you are trying to prevent. Pendulum 2G is a preemergent herbicide and it must be applied before the weeds germinate. You can call your local cooperative extension office to seek more information on the germination times in your region. 40 lbs can treat just under 1/2 an acre when used at the 100 lbs per acre usage rate.
