Why can the generic brand of Delta Dust, D-Fense Deltamethrin Dust be shipped to New York but the name brand Delta Dust cannot ship to New York? They BOTH contain the active ingredient of deltamethrin 0.05%.

Answer:

Each individual State regulates what products they classify as restricted for various reasons including registration with manufacturer, regulations, etc.Generic insecticides also tend to have less rules than the name brand products when it comes to registering with the State. You should be able to contact the Pesticide Registraton Board through the Deptartment of Agriculture for further information.
