Our recommendation of not adding food sources or other bait attractants to Rat X come directly from the manufacturer of the product. The manufacturer advises that adding food or other bait attractants to the product is that the formulation of Rat X already contains food based ingredients to attract rodents for consumption.   Adding additional materials to the bait can cause the rodents to avoid it altogether, or may deter them from feeding on enough of the product to consume a lethal dose.When baiting for rodents, you want to limit other food sources they are attracted to so that they will consume the bait you place out for them.  For more information, please contact the manufacturer EcoClear Products directly at  1-888-511-7289.
