Product Overview

Rat X is a non-toxic rodent bait that kills rodents without harming any other species. Rat X is made from 100% natural ingredients - it can even be used inside food handling facilities. The mice and rats will eat the bait like a food source and Rat X will cause dehydration. Mice and rats have stomach sensors that tells them when they are thirsty. When they eat this bait, it turns off their stomach sensors and it can no longer tell their brain to drink water. They have no desire for drinking water so they will just go back to their burrow, and begin the cycle - dehydration, failing kidneys, coma and then death. Great product to use around animals and children because it is safe and non toxic.

    By Catrina on 08/08/2013

I am so impressed!!! I bought this at the recommendation of a friend and set up baggies around the yard, MY DOG FOUND THEM AND ATE THEM!!!! (He eats everything as his name is "Chomper"). I was so scared as he took down at least 3oz of the stuff. The Amazing part was NOTHING was wrong with Chomper at all. Not that day or even a few days later!!! No Vet bills, no Rats and it was inexpensive. This product is Amazing!!!!

    This product does not work.

    Expert ResponseExpert response:
Rat X is a multi-feed bait, so rodents do have to consume quite a bit over time to get a lethal dose. You also want to be sure the eliminate any competing food sources when using Rat X. This bait is excellent when there is concern about non-target animals coming into contact with the bait, however, since it is not toxic to pets or people.

    Wow!

    By Stacey on 08/06/2013

I have young kids and puppies so treating for pests has always been a problem or a fear but knowing RatX is safe put my mind at ease. It was so easy and I didn't need help either. The rats went right for the wrapped up pellets within a day the small ones were dead and a couple later the larger ones. Woohoo!! No more rats or noise at night in my attic or garage! Thanks RatX!

    Great Product and Definitely Works!

    By Cedric on 03/09/2016

Great product it didn't take 4-5 days to work it took only 2 days for my problem. I placed it in plastic bags in the activity areas on Sunday nite by Tuesday I noticed my 2nd placement hadn't been touched by Friday still 2nd feeding was still there. Unfortunately they didn't come out to go into their coma now I'm dealing with the horrible smell of dead rodents in my walls! :'( If there's a way around dealing with the death smell it would be great....But overall I'm impressed! !

Q
Will Rat X kill other rodents (non target species) such as squirrels, prairie dogs, ground squirrels, beavers, etc?

I am not finding any clear answers whether this product will kill rodents other than rats and mice. For example, some squirrels are protected where I live, and I don't want to inadvertently kill them. As far as I know, all rodents share the same digestive system, not exclusive to rats and mice.

A

Rat X is only labeled to eradicate mice and rats. However, it is possible that the product will harm those that are also in the rodent family such as chipmunks, squirrels, etc.

Q
Would they be harmed if captive birds of prey outside ate a rat/mouse that was poisoned by Rat X?

We are battling wood rats and are looking for a way to eliminate them without hurting our birds of prey or other birds native to our area.

A

Rat X will only work on mice and rats, and is safe for other animals since it is non-toxic for them. There is no risk of secondary poisoning.

Q
After a mouse eats Rat-X, but before it dies, will the mouse leave greenish blue droppings?

I put some out to get rid of a small mouse problem in my house and noticed some black droppings a few days later. But there were also a few really bright blue or green droppings as well. I know other poisons can cause green droppings, but those poisons are also green, which makes sense. But since Rat-X is brown, I am confused. Help! I'm confused and a little worried, but still hopeful! Thanks!

A
Yes, the droppings of the mice and/or rats will become bleached in color and larger in size after consuming Rat X. This is an indicator of the product acceptance and consumption and can be up to three times larger than pellets from non-treated rodents.

Q
I believe my dog ate Rat X. Will it harm him?
A

Rat X is a non-toxic rodent bait that kills rodents without harming any other species. The rats will eat the bait like a food source and Rat X will cause dehydration. Rats have stomach sensors that tell them when they are thirsty, this will only affect rodents that eat the bait as dogs do not have this sensor. Of course, if you have concerns, it is recommended to contact your vet.
