Love it!
By Lori on 07/20/2016
I've had the best luck dropping the pellets directly into the squirrel holes vs using the bait box. The pellets are eaten by the next day and I stop seeing the squirrels, until about 2 weeks later, when the next batch hatches, then I just bait the holes again. Definitely knocked down our squirrel population!

The ONLY thing that works for us
By Lori on 05/31/2017
This bait is the only thing that the ground squirrels in our area will eat. We have over 120 olive trees and the squirrels burrow everywhere in the roots of the trees. I fill up my trap at least once a week when the warm weather starts.

It work
By Trese on 04/18/2020
I have used this product for years. I live in the High Desert and so do 1000 ground squirrels. I did not mind the squirrels until they started eating my garden. It was like a pot luck to them no matter what I did. With the Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait you just put it out in the proper container and the little squirrels just go away. Great product.

Expensive but works great.
By Wayne on 09/17/2018
This product really works, but is expensive. I have spent over a thousand dollars the last two years trying to get rid of ground squirrels, profession pest control company, and other types of poison that I have placed and finally Wilco ground squirrel poison is eliminating the problem.

Fantastic Results
By Kerrie on 08/24/2020
We bought a 7.7 acre infested property. Wide open fields full of thousands of squirrels. Began the product on a Sunday, using a cup measure in each of the main run holes around the house. Used 10 lbs. Refilled the holes 3 days later. Ordered a second 20 lbs. a week later and went out another 5-10 yards from the house, Used 20 lbs. AMAZING RESULTS. Squirrels are away from the main house and gardens. Population reduced by 80% we guess. The squirrels ate it all. Most all perished under ground in their burrows. Lots of vultures circling around, so we know it worked! Highly recommend.

Best squirrel bait I have found
By Doug on 03/26/2021
I tried several ground squirrel baits with varying results. Bottom line is the Wilco worked best with continued application in their bait stations. Make no mistake it takes a continuous application to get results. My property became over-run with squirrels who dug holes everywhere and destroyed many plants and drip irrigation parts. By placing three Wilco bait stations in appropriate locations, my problem is pretty much solved. It does take constant attention and a large amount of bait. That is why buying in bulk 20 lbs bags is cost effective. I found DoMyOwn.com offered the best price for quantity purchases. Much less expensive than buying at my local supply house. I highly recommend this product from this source as a way to solve this difficult problem.

Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait
By Sandy on 11/09/2018
I am having a terrible time with ground squirrels this year. I tried live trapping with peanuts as bait and it didn't work so finally ordered two different kinds of bait, this kind from Wilco and Kaput from Amazon. While both were eaten the Kaput was always gone first. Not sure how well either is working but I definitely see less squirrels running around in the evening as I sit and relax on my deck and not as many burrows to rake out every morning. It has been two weeks.

Diphacinone's Effectiveness
By Albert on 06/24/2021
I don't know what they other folks are describing with regard to ground squirrels visiting the baited traps. I have a sizable population of Belding's ground squirrels, both to the north and south of me and I have personally observed both adults and new generation ground squirrels go in and out of these traps and consume one pellet after another. They do not eat them inside the bait station but consume them standing up outside to watch for predators. I will subsequently find them listless and or the verge of death several days later.

Uncertain
By Bruce on 04/24/2020
I've used this a number of times and I feel it seems like a hit or miss. I have four bait stations distributed properly in a very small area and the varmints seem to avoid them because I check if they've eaten what's inside. That being said, maybe they ate just enough because in the past few days I haven't seen them... Is it the heat or did they meet their demise?! I will listen for their chirp sound and if I don't hear it we will know their fate!

effective squirrel bait
By Richard on 07/24/2020
This year Wilco has increased the size of the pellets, do not know if that affected the squirrels inability to get back to their burrows to die, making it necessary to pick up and dispose of the dead ones. Or perhaps the formula changed?

Works but takes a lot!
By Mr on 06/26/2020
After having a ground squirrel problem for years they were just about to take over my property. You could look out the front window toward the barn any morning and see dozens of the little buggers running all over the place. I have tried to fill in their burrows but they just dig them out again. I got serious and put out three bait containers in one area and kept them full for a week. After that they seems to stop eating the bait so I would move to a new location. Lots of bait going into those three containers. About 28 pounds so far and I have lots of property to cover yet. The population is going down. That's GOOD!

This product worked !!! Barn, pole barn, property, over run by ground squirrel's. No mess, no smell from dead squirrel's that I can see. Keep traps loaded, once in awhile some bait missing, but problem is under control as I see it.

Works Very Well
By Adrienne on 10/31/2020
The squirrels loved this stuff unlike another type I tried. I finally used this to get rid of squirrels before their tunnels caved my barn in and down the hill. It also took care of big rats. All were attracted to my chicken and horse feed rooms and areas. I put it in the Wilco bait station and had no problems with any other

Not effective as the previous formula
By Marileth on 07/04/2020
The squirrels are having a big party eating the bait and calling friends to join in. 3 big jars of this new green container baits gone in one week. It's more expensive than me going out to eat at a fancy restaurant. Very disappointed. Do not waste your money like I did.

This stuff works
By Bob on 02/18/2022
This stuff works and is legal in California. My property used to be overrun with squirrels to the point that they stripped my Macadamia nut trees bare, shucking the nuts on my pool deck. The shells ended up in the pool. So, it was pretty clear that these SOBs had to go, and now they have.

Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait
By Roger on 04/16/2021
Squirrels must really like this product. Over a two week period, I dispensed the contents of a four pound container via a Wilco bait dispenser and the squirrels kept asking for more. I had to re-order the product but the squirrels just disappeared so maybe I didn't need the re-order.

Doesn't attract
By Gus on 09/25/2020
I'm sorry but I must give it a 1 Star after reading description of what it's suppose to do , cost, and VS results, it's not worth it. I've had a max of afew pieces at best be taken by the squirrels . It doesn't attract them nor do they like the product. How can it do it's job if they don't take any ? Sure wish I could get my money back
