I recently built a house on farm land that had Timothy hay growing on it. We just had the landscaping done and the ground seeded on July 8th, 2020, and the hay is popping up all throughout the lawn as my grass is trying to grow in. Will this kill the hay without killing my grass. I live in Central Pennsylvania. Thank you.
Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide is not labeled to control timothy grass. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any product that is labeled to kill timothy grass among other desirable turfgrasses. You can carefully spot treat the timothy grass with a non-selective herbicide such as Killzalland then overseed any bare spots as needed.
