An Arborist recommended the use of Bayer Tree and Shrub at the base of an Ash Tree which is showing dead curly leaf symptoms, which he diagnosed as fire blight. I don't see that listed on the product and can't find this information anywhere online. Will this product work to kill fire blight? If so, is now the right time to apply it? If not, what product and/or methods do you recommend in addition to pruning off the infested/dead limbs in early summer? This is an old, much beloved Ash Tree. I live in the Sierra foothills of CA. Thank you!
Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Granules is not labeled to control Fire Blight. We do carry a few products that are labeled to control or suppress fire blight, however at this time there is no cure for it. Here is a list of the products that are labeled to treat for fire blight.
