BrushMaster Herbicide is not labeled to kill forsythia trees. Herbicides containing Glyphosate or Triclopyr are known to be effective in killing forsythia trees when applied as cut stump application. Cut branches and tree down to the stump close to the ground. Apply Bonide Stump Out Stump & Vine Killer undiluted to the freshly cut stump. Depending on the circumference of the stump, multiple holes can be drilled into the stump to allow the herbicide to leach into the stump easier.
