Will Demon Max injure trees infested with carpenter ants if spraying around the base of the trees?

Answer:

Demon Max will not injure trees when spraying the trunks and/or base of the tree for carpenter ants.  For carpenter ants active inside trees, the product label states to find the interior infested cavity and inject 0.25% emulsion (1.3 oz / gallon of water) using a treatment tool with a splashback guard. Reapply under heavy reinfestation pressure after 1 week if needed.
