Headway G Fungicide Granules are applied at the rate of 2-2.5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. at 14 day intervals or 3.5-4 lbs. at 28 day intervals, and you should apply when conditions for the disease are favorable. They can be used as a preventative treatment and as a curative treatment since it has two active ingredients. If you would like to rotate fungicides, you should look for one with a different active ingredient such as Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide that is also labeled for spring dead spot. Here is a great article I located from the extension office regarding treatment of spring dead spot for more information. If you are unsure of the targeted fungus, we recommend getting a positive identification through your local cooperative extension office. Some areas damaged from disease in the turf may needed to be reseeded.
