Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is not labeled for grassy weeds such as sandbur, only broadleaf weeds and some other brush weeds so would not be recommended.  Sandbur is best treated with a pre-emergent herbicide such as Dimension before it emerges.
