We are battling with cheyletiella mites on our dogs, but I think they get reinfested from the environment. Is Onslaught the right product to kill those mites on the floors and around the dogs' bedding?
Onslaught is not labeled for Cheyletiella mites and this type of mite does not live off of the host animal and do not infest the environment. This mite is contagious by direct contact with other infected animals only. If a dog is constantly infested it could mean that an egg or mite was missed/still exists on the animal or they are being introduced from contact with infested animals. We recommend that animals are seen by a veterinarian and treated according to the veterinarian's instructions.
