The Bat-A-Way granules can be a bit bothersome if it is used in an area where your dog may frequent. The smell of Bat-A-way is very strong. Since dogs have a very strong sense of smell, the granules can be a bit overwhelming when they are exposed. For areas that are not well ventilated, put 2 to 4 ounces of repellent into mesh bags (cheesecloth, pantyhose, etc) or a small plastic container with holes punched in the top. This allows for easy product removal if odor becomes too strong We have never had a report of a dog that is actually allergic to the Bat-A-Way. If you suspect that your dog is having an allergic reaction, we advise you to contact your vet and be sure to have the Bat-A-way product label available in case the vet needs the product information.
