Bat-A-Way bat repellent granules is the safe, easy, and humane way to get bats, birds, and squirrels out of attics, wall voids, crawl spaces, and other sheltered areas. Simply sprinkle Bat Away indoors in well ventilated areas on floors, between walls, and in crawl spaces. Bat Away bat repellent granules contain the active ingredient Naphthalene, which causes temporary sensory overload, dizziness, and nausea in bats when they come into contact with the granules. These reactions are uncomfortable for the bat, causing it to leave quickly the area quickly. Once the bat seeks fresh air however, everything returns to normal and it will resume regular behavior. Napathalene also has this same effect on birds and squirrels. After the target animals have departed from the treated area, all cracks and openings by which they might reenter should be sealed with copper mesh. Bat-A-Way may also be used to keep rabbits out of ornamental gardens and flower beds. When used as directed, Bat-A-Way is safe to humans, pets & plants. Bat-A-Way Granular Repellent will continue working for 2 months after initial application.

While bats are beneficial to us in their natural habitats (they keep certain rodent populations under control in the wild), they can become a major problem when they enter our homes. Bats can cause significant damage to wires or other items by gnawing or chewing. Bats also leave droppings behind which are unpleasant to the nose and eyes, not to mention being unsanitary and possibly transmitting diseases. Using Bat Away For Bat, Bird, & Squirrel Control:
In well ventilated areas, lightly sprinkle Bat Away over the area at a rate of 1 pound per 400 square feet.
For areas that are not well ventilated, put 2 to 4 ounces of repellent into mesh bags (cheesecloth, pantyhose, etc) or a small plastic container with holes punched in the top. This allows for easy product removal if odor becomes too strong. Bats, birds and squirrels will depart from the area within a short time.
After the nuisance pests leave, seal up all openings and cracks that they could use to get back inside. Use copper mesh material to seal off small gaps, cracks and openings. For ventilation openings, use a metal screening with a small mesh size (3/8”max).
For Outdoor Rabbit Control:
At the first signs of growth of roses, spring bulbs, flowers or other ornamentals that may attract rabbits, apply a 2 or more inch-wide band around the area to be protected. Do not apply Bat-A-Way on the plant or on the plant stems.
One application can last up to 4 weeks and will repel rabbits from your garden. Hot weather and strong winds may require additional applications.
Bat-A-Way Granular Repellent

We live in an old farm house where bats have found it very comfortable, however anything we have tried has not worked. I used this in our attic and left open container in our fireplace. Have not seen any bats since. Just wished it would last longer. Time to do it again.

Bat-A-Way
By David on 06/26/2011
I was disappointed in this product, I had only 10 adult and 4 small bats and they never left my attic. After about 10 days all it seemed to do was stir them up and that was about it. I had to remove them myself. I should have asked for a refund.

Save your money.....
By Starglow on 02/03/2012
We had a colony of about 40-50 bats living in the gable end area of our house attic with a few who managed to actually get past the screen and inside the attic space. I decided to give Bat Away a try in hopes the bats would move on to another roost location but to no avail. I followed the directions closely and even added a fresh dose of Bat Away every two weeks. All it managed to do was stink up our upstairs living space and the bats were not affected by it one bit. I had to seal up all vent and access openings in the ceiling to help keep the Bat Away smell out of our living quarters as much as possible, but you could still smell it on a more tolerable level. The only thing that worked to get rid of the bats was an eviction screen hung outside the gable vent so the bats can still fly out of the roost space but not get back in. However, by law you have to wait until mid-to-late summer to do this so the young babies are old enough to fly and won't get stuck abandoned in the roost when the mother leaves. This meant we were stuck living with the bat colony for several months and cleaning up their mess was a big chore once they were finally evicted. Based on my personal experience with the product, I would not recommend Bat Away because it did not work in our particular case.

Doesn't work....8-(
By Dw on 05/06/2012
We had a bat colony of about 40 bats living in the attic gable end vent of our home. I purchased Bat-A-Way in hopes to force them to move out. I applied the Bat-A-Way product as directed but it just stunk up the second floor living area of our home and had no affect on the bats whatsoever. I eventually hired a wildlife control company to evict them with an outside screen which is about the only process that is guaranteed to work. I can not recommend Bat-A-Way because it was a big waste of money.
