Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide is labeled to target the following woody plants: ailanthus, alder, aspen, birch, cedar, cherry, dogwood, elm, firs, green ash, gum, hawthorn, hickory, hornbeam, maples, oaks, pecan, persimmon, serviceberry, sourwood and sweetbay. It does not specifically state Palmetto tree sprouts on the product label. For more information on this, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer (Dow AgroSciences) directly at 800-992-5994.
An alternative would be to use a product such as Fertilome Brush & Stump Killer or Crossbow instead by applying the product undiluted to the fresh cuts of the sprouts.
