Will Turflon Ester Ultra kill a nearby pin oak tree that has shallow roots?

I have a lawn that is mainly backfill red clay and rock with only about 4 inches or so of top soil. Therefore, the pin oak tree has very shallow roots. How close to this tree (about 12 years old) can I spray Turflon Ester Ultra?

Answer:

Hi-Yield Turflon Ester Ultra could affect nearby desirable plants if it were to contact them or the root system. We would not recommend applying this product at or near the dripline of any desirable plants.
