The Snapshot 2.5 TG Herbicide would be safe or use on gravel areas, however if you are looking for long term control and prevention of growth in a parking lot setting, snaptshot wouldn't typically be the way most customers would go. Its used a lot more in landscape beds and small desertscape yards. If you are wanting to kill and prevent any plant growth in the gravel as much as possible for as long as possible, you'd want to consider a soil sterilizer such as TVC (Total Vegetation Control). This is going to last roughly a year if applied correctly and with enough water volume to penetrate through the gravel and to the soil below it. You will need to make sure if there are any trees, shrubs, etc near any of the places you intend to use the TVC that you stay at least 10 feet outside of the dripline of desirable vegetation or plants.
