The Xcluder Strips 1 in. x 4 ft. is an easy-to-handle pest management tool for residential and commercial use. It is designed to block possible entryways from damaging snakes, rodents and insects. The fill fabric strip is best utilized on hard-to-reach areas like underneath indoor sinks, around outdoor HVAC pipes, up on the roof line and around chimney flashing. Good stuff. A little goes a long way as you can pull it out and push it around openings. I use it for bees and wasps around openings in eves that are too large to caulk. My only complaint is the direction of the fibers only allows you to separate it cross-ways and not in a long thin strip down the whole role. I have not found a good way to cut it either. Metal shears do nothing to this stuff.

Since the Xcluder Strips contain metal fibers, you do want to be sure to wear thick gloves to protect your hands from these tiny metal fibers. Thick fabric gloves with extra rubber reinforcement is frequently used; thin latex or other disposable gloves would not be effective. We do offer an Xcluder Kit that inludes gloves appropriate for handling this material.

Will it stop roaches from entering under the siding?
We have checked with the manufacturer of Xcluder Strips Bag and they have advised that usually in this area customers will take the 4" wide material and fold it over like a "taco" shell, then insert up into this area. Having said that, this specific area can be different at each location so it would be recommended to measure the opening to see how wide an area it is to be sure it would fit or if another size is needed.

No, according to the manufacturer, the Xcluder Strips are made of stainless fibers and black poly that will not rust, stain, or corrode.
