The mixing ratio for Adonis 2F Insecticide for shrubs is 0.1 to 0.2 fl. oz. per foot of height in sufficient water to treat the area. For your shrubs, you will use .7 to .14 fl. oz. in at least 10 gallons of water.
Adonis 2F is not labeled for use on edibles. Instead, we would recommend using the Fertilome Triple Action with 70% Neem Oil. It is a multi-purpose insecticide, fungicide, miticide that kills eggs, larval and adult stages of insects and controls plant diseases. Fertilome Triple Action can be applied every 7-14 days to kill existing diseases and insect pests. It can also be applied up to the day of harvest on all fruit trees and vegetable plants.
To treat a pine tree 40in in diameter for scale, you would mix 8 oz Adonis with at least 5-10 gallons water and apply as a drench around the base.
You can use Adonis 2F as a systemic insecticide on ornamental trees and shrubs or on other trees from which you will not consume the fruit. You should NOT use Adonis 2F on a tree from which you plan to eat the fruit. According to the product label, use 0.1 to 0.2 ounces per inch of trunk diameter in no less than 10 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet. Be sure to remove and plastic sheeting, mulch, or other ground barrier before applying. It is also best to keep the treatment area moist for 7-10 days following the application for the best uptake.
