How to Replace the TIC and TMB:

Step 1: Open the station

• Using a Spider Tool, remove the black cap from the station.

Step 2: Remove the Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC)

• Pull out the TIC using cotter pin puller or needle nose pliers. 
• Use this opportunity to check for termites, looking down into the TMB to inspect for termites. If no termites are found, you can continue to replace with the Monitoring Refill Kit components.  If termites are found, replace the TIC with a Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridge.

Step 3: Remove the Termite Monitoring Base (TMB)

• Remove the wooden TMB using the cotter pin puller or needle nose pliers.
• If the wood base has decayed, use a nail claw to remove it.  The wood base piece(s) can be discarded.
• Clean out the station.

Step 4: Insert new TMB and TIC

• Place a new TMB into the station first.
• Place a new TIC into the station. This should rest on top of the TMB.  
• Replace the station lid and secure the lid using the spider tool.
