Purchasing the 5-pack of this product will give you five complete wood bases for use in five Advance Termite Bait Stations (sold separately).
Subterranean Termites
The Advance Termite Monitoring Base is for use only in Advance Termite Bait Stations. The wooden bases are a preferred wood for subterranean termites and attract them to the stations for easy monitoring and baiting.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: None, pure wood only
Use a flathead screwdriver or Advance Spider Tool to remove the black cap from Advance Stations. Remove the Termite Inspection Cartridge or Termite Bait Cartridge (using a cotter pin hand tool is helpful). Remove old or damaged Termite Monitoring Base, then replace with fresh wood base (two halves form a complete base for each station). Re-insert or replace Monitoring or Bait Cartridge as appropriate, then replace black cap.
Wooden Termite Monitoring Bases should be replaced once a year or as needed if spongy, waterlogged, or moldy.
Each 5-pack contains five complete Termite Monitoring Bases (10 pieces total).
For use in Advance Termite Bait System Stations only.
Indoors
Not for indoor use.

5 years, no termites yet

I had to buy new bases. A couple of years ago I bought more poison. My house is built in the woods, and there are lots of termites. I have 10 sets that I keep moving after termites have been spotted and inserts switched from monitoring to poisoning. They have worked so far.

The Advance Termite Monitoring Base should be replaced at least once every 12 months. The Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge should be replaced on an as needed basis but not any longer than 15 months since installation or the last replacement

No, the Advance Termite Monitoring Base is meant to be used inside of the Advance Termite Bait Stations or Trelona System for monitoring purposes only. We do have the Trelona bait that goes inside of these stations.

I just got my new wood inserts but I went too long between replacing them and because some of the bases are in an area where the soil rarely dries completely (lots of shade and a flat area where water doesn't run off) and the units are now filled with mud. Any tips on how to extract the rotten wood inserts to put the new ones in?
If you are removing The Advance Termite Monitoring Base we would advice to use pliers or an Allen key to do so. The stations should be placed in areas where they will not get water logged so may need to be moved or just removed from that area completely.

Advance Termite Monitoring Base needs to be replaced at least once every 12 months and no less than every 15 months. It would be kept in the station with either a monitoring inspection cartridge or Trelona Compressed Termite Bait
