    Q
Is Advion Cockroach Gel Bait effective if its super runny?
    A

When Advion Roach Bait Gel is runny, this usually indicates that it was stored in an area where it got too hot.  If you were using it soon after receiving it, it may be that the product sat in a hot delivery truck before it got to you.  While this will not affect the efficacy of the product, if it is difficult to use, it should firm up again if you place it in the refrigerator for a day or so.

    Q
No adults but seeing baby roaches after using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait. Should I add another product or switch to something different?
    A

When treating for roaches it is recommended to use an Insect Growth Regulator such as Gentrol Point Source in addition to the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait.  IGRs help prevent the young from maturing into reproducing adults so you keep the infestation from getting larger while you are eliminating it.  We also have a guide here that can help.

    Q
Does the Advion Roach Bait Gel attract cockroaches?
I put it all over my house, at the windows and doors. My main issue was in the kitchen, although I have seen a few here and there around the house. Am I going to bring new roaches to my house?
    A

Yes, cockroaches are attracted to Advion Roach Bait Gel when they cross paths with where it has been applied, but it will not attracts new roaches that were not already in your home. The product works quickly and efficiently if used properly as the label directs. Gel baits can dry out after two weeks or so, so it does need to be refreshed every couple of weeks.

    Q
I see roaches frequently in my apartment bathroom, but rarely elsewhere. Should I apply product in other areas as well just in case?
I see at least one roach a day in my apartment bathroom. I purchased Advion to put in there since i'm sick of being terrified to pee. I live in an area where the roaches we get are pretty big and incredibly scary. I've seen roaches in all stages of the life cycle in my bathroom, very prominently at first. I assume they're going in there looking for moisture. I literally watched one stroll down my hallway leisurely into my bathroom like it owned the place. Would you suggest I also apply to the kitchen just in case they go wandering?
    A

If you have seen roaches in all stages of the life cycle, you may also want to consider using an insecticide and insect growth regulator to help get rid of the roaches. Please take a look at Temprid FX and Gentrol IGR or Gentrol Point Source Stations. Also, roaches are very attracted to water, so that may be why you are seeing them in your bathroom. Please check for leaky pipes in the area and fix the leak as soon as possible as this can help tremendously with your roach issue. If you have not seen any roaches in your kitchen, it isn't necessary for you to use any gel there, since there may not be any in the area to consume it. However, if you choose to purchase the insecticide, you can absolutely use it as a preventive spray in the kitchen.

    Q
Are there different levels of potency of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait?
I just had a pest control technician tell me there are three levels of potency. Each treatment is a stronger potency and by the third treatment, it's guaranteed to kill them under normal circumstances. I can't find any kits with three levels of potency. Do they exist?
    A

Advion Cockroach Gel Bait does not have different levels of potency.  It is only applied in different amounts based on the level of infestation.

Per the product label: For heavy infestations of cockroaches, apply 3 to 5 spots of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait per 10 linear feet.

For light to moderate infestations of cockroaches, apply 1-3 spots of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait per 10 linear feet.

Any guarantee would be with the company that applies it as the product itself does not come with one that we are aware of.  We do know it works very well though.  You would need to speak with that technician in regards to more detail on their treatments, we apologize but cannot comment further on the work of a company or what they offer.

    Q
Should I use Advion Cockroach Gel Bait if I have only seen one small roach and occasionally large ones?
    A

If you have seen multiple roaches, it certainly may be an indication of an infestation. Advion Cockroach Gel Bait is a great product for roach control. However, this product is a food source for roaches so you may want to monitor your activity before using this product that will attract roaches. If you do in fact find an issue with roaches please keep in mind when treating for roaches, it takes more than one product for the quickest and most effective control. Please take a moment to look over our How To Treatment and Video Guides to learn about the most effective ways for getting rid of roaches, and our Roach Control Kits for the best products for the job.

    Q
    More big 1in. Roaches
I would see tiny tiny baby roaches come out alot more than 1inch sized roaches. I'm seeing alot of dead or dying roaches awesome but I'm also seeing more of the 1in roaches come out. I just wanted to know why?
    A
Roaches will lay eggs behind wall voids and in dark crevices that may hatch out over long periods of time. As the adults that were present die out, the babies that are hatching will emerge looking for food and water resources. It can take several months to completely eliminate all the life cycles that could emerge over time from hidden egg sacs. As long as you are keeping the bait supply out for them to find, and doing all the other necessary steps to properly control and stop roach populations, you will see the colony completely eliminated.

    Q
What happens to the Advion gel bait after a fumigation?
I have been using Advion for 3 days and it's working really well ...I'm really happy with the product. My landlord just informed me that they are going to fumigate in 2-3 weeks. Will the gel work after the fumigation? Can I continue to use Advion after the fumigation ends ?
    A
Typically Advion has to be replaced/refreshed every 14 days.  Generally it is applied where foggers will not reach anyway. You could wipe up gel just before the fogging application and reapply once the fog has settled.

    Q
Electronics and using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait
I have a bit on a roach infestation. It's gradually getting worse no matter what I do. I was recommended this product by my sister and there are roaches living in my tv and almost all my electronics. Very aggravating. I don't want to just stick the gel in my tv so how would I apply the gel to my electronics to kill them?
    A

You can use Advion Roach Bait Gel in bait plate stations and place the stations under and on your electronics. This will keep your electronics safe from the bait but keep it available for the roaches. Additionally, please take some time to read over our roach control guide. When infestations are large, you will need to implement a full roach control program to eliminate the roaches.

    Q
What happens if the Advion Cockroach gets wet? Does it loose its effectiveness?
I applied the gel bait in cracks that are in my kitchen floor under my cabinets, I mop every day and clean with bleach and pine sol, cane this contaminate the bait that is on the floor ?
    A

The Advion Cockroach will not be effective and the insects will avoid it is being contaminated by the cleaning agents. Baits should be placed up high or in bait plate stations if using down low. We have a great video here that shows where to apply the bait.
