Advion Roach Bait Gel is only designed and labeled only to be used for roaches.
We would recommend Greenway Pantry Patrol Insect Trap for beetles as it covers a broader spectrum of beetle pests including: Red Flour Beetle, Confused Flour Beetle, Indian Meal Moth, Warehouse Beetle, Cigarette Beetle, Mediterranean Flour Moth, Tobacco Moth, Rice Weevil, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetle.
For treating cracks and creviecs where the larvae could be developing, we would recommend an aerosol insecticide such as D-Force HPX.
When you notice more roaches attracted to the bait that is normal and an indication that the product is working. The attractants lure them to the locations you placed the bait in your structure in order for the product to be accepted and effective. Rotating with other baits aside from Advion would be advised every 90 days for an integrated pest management.
For active roach infestations, using a roach bait alone will not eliminate them. It is recommended to use a combination treatment program with a residual insecticide (along baseboards, behind appliances, under cabinets, sinks, around windows, etc) and an insect growth regulator to help stop the reproduction cycle.
Repeat applications of spraying the insecticide and replacing bait placements are required every 10 to 14 days. If still seeing roaches after 90 days, you will want to continue spraying the insecticide but rotate to another roach bait to offer a different bait matrix.
For additional tips and products to incorporate in your treatment plan, please check out Roach Control Kits and Roach Treatment Guide.

No, Advion Cockroach Gel Bait will only work on cockroaches. We have Advion Ant Bait Gel if you needed a bait for ants.
Typically with a very small amount there is no need for worry. More than 90% of the baits are made up of food based ingredients which is what attracts the roaches to it to take back to the colony. If you are concerned you can monitor your dogs and contact Syngenta directly regarding any side effects they may have from what little they ingested. Also, keep in mind that any place you are putting Advion Cockroach Gel Bait should be in an area the pets cannot get to anyways, so you may not want to put the bait in the same places again if the pets have easy access to those areas. You can reach Syngenta at 302-425-2000.
Advion Roach Bait Gel is a slow kill so that it has time to be taken back to the colony and spread. Roaches can start dying within a few hours. How long it takes to eliminate a roach infestation depends on how large the infestation is, how consistent and thorough you are being with treatments, and the specific products you are using. There is not a set time; it can take but it can take weeks or months even to get complete control. Advion Roach Bait Gel is typically not used alone but in combination with other products. We would recommend one of our roach control kits. You can see the kits by clicking on the link here. We also have a great article for eliminating them that can offer some great advice; you can find it here.
Yes, the Masterline Professional Bait Gun will fit the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait tube.
Advion Cockroach Gel Bait has a different food matrix than the other two but does not contain an IGR the way Vendetta Plus Cockroach Gel Bait does. Meaning, that you would need to use an IGR in conjunction. Keep in mind that you need to rotate the baits otherwise, you will meet resistance & they will stop working.
According to the Advion Roach Bait Gel SDS:
"Potential Health Effects: Based on animal testing, no biologically significant effects are expected from skin or eye contact or by ingestion." You should still read and follow the product label which recommends that you use the roach bait gel in places that will be inaccessible to your pet. Of course, if you see any unusual behavior or signs of sickness, you should consult a veterinarian
The Advion Roach Bait Gel should be applied once every two weeks (cleaning up old bait placements prior to new applications) to keep the roaches attracted to the product.
There is no need to cover up furniture mattresses etc. when using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait. There is no way to impede roaches from entering certain furniture until they have been eliminated. Please read our How to Get Rid of Roaches Guide for more information.
You should still use the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait, roaches can survive for several months without food and up to two weeks without water. I'll also link a prevention guide below and that will help you more on eliminating these pests.
