If your puppy ate or licked the Advion Roach Bait Gel then we would recommend you forward the Advion Roach Bait Gel Manufacturers Safety Data Sheet for your vet to review to make an informed decision on your puppy's care.

    Q
Can I use Advion Roach Bait Gel now, 4 weeks after an exterminator sprayed?
I had 2 water bugs in my apartment (in one night) and thus called an exterminator. Have not seen any big ones in 2 months, but babies are occasionally popping up in bathroom and kitchen. The glue board under the fridge also caught one. Would like to try advion gel but do not want to interfere with what exterminator sprayed.
    A

Yes, you could use the Advion Roach Bait Gel anytime, you just would not want to apply sprays on top of bait placements or vice versa. If it has been two months since anything was sprayed, it should be fine to use bait gel. Our Roach Control Kit Rotation C contains the Advion Roach Bait Gel, Temprid SC (spray), and Gentrol Point Source Stations to target immature stages, as well as glue traps to help you monitor your treatment.

    Q
Can the Advion Roach Bait Gel kill pets?
I have two kittens and I was wondering
    A

The very minute amount of Advion Gel the roaches may eat is not enough to harm your cats. Be sure when putting the gel out that you do put the gel into cracks and crevices and other places that will not be accessible to your cats.

    Q
Can Advion Roach Bait Gel kill ants?
    A

While both Advion Roach and Advion Ant Bait Gels have the same active ingredient, their other ingredients could be different to target the pests they are specifically labeled for. Therefore, we would recommend to use Advion Roach Bait Gel for roaches and Advion Ant Bait Gel for Ants - see labels for a specific list of target pests for each product.

    Q
What product is used for inside: to eliminate roaches and silverfish?
    A
You could do a barrier treatment for roaches and silverfish with Suspend SC. To further eradicate roaches, you want to use a roach bait like Advion Roach Bait gel that can be taken back to where the roaches are coming from.

    Q
Is Advion Cockroach Gel Bait effective if its super runny?
    A

When Advion Roach Bait Gel is runny, this usually indicates that it was stored in an area where it got too hot.  If you were using it soon after receiving it, it may be that the product sat in a hot delivery truck before it got to you.  While this will not affect the efficacy of the product, if it is difficult to use, it should firm up again if you place it in the refrigerator for a day or so.

    Q
Can I use Advion Roach Bait Gel after exterminators sprayed the same day?
    A

You can use an insecticide spray and a bait like Advion Roach Bait Gel in the same room at the same time, just not on the same surfaces.  The rule of thumb is spray low (areas like baseboards, kick plates below cabinets, and under appliances) and bait high (in areas like inside cabinets and drawers and up higher near small appliances such as microwaves, toasters and coffee pots).  Please take a moment to look over our Roach Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing a roach infestation.

    Q
Can/should I use 2 different baits at the same time?
I had a problem with Amazon selling me fake Advion Roach and I thought the roaches were immune to it already so I bought Alpine. When rummaging through the cabinets to put the new baits I found my old lost "legit" tube of Advion Roach lying around. I was wondering if I can combine both baits at the same time?
    A

While you could use both Advion Roach Bait Gel and Alpine at the same time it would be better to instead rotate between them every 3-4 months to prevent resistance build up to any one bait.

    Q
Is it safe to use the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait if I have respiratory problems?
I have asthma and get upper respiratory infections (bronchitis) is this product safe to use with these issues?
    A

Since you are applying a gel and not a spray, there is nothing released into the air, so there should not be any respiratory issues when applying Advion Roach Bait Gel.  That said, if you have any health concerns, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before applying this or any other product.

    Q
Can I put the food back in the cabinets with the Advion gel bait put in the corners?
    A

Yes, when used as directed it is safe to use Advion Roach Bait Gel in areas that you would cook and eat as long as it does not contact food prep surfaces or dishes/utensils. Food should be stored in airtight containers. We have a great video here that shows where to apply the bait. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article and videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more helpful information.

  • Asked by Frank from Pico Rivera,ca

    Q
I still see the same amount of roaches after 3 weeks of using Advion Roach Bait Gel. What do I do?
    A

You want to apply the Advion Roach Bait Gel every 2 weeks (cleaning up previous bait placements). Give it some time depending on the level of activity and how long they have been present.  Baiting will take more time to transfer through the population. We also suggest applying a perimeter residual spray and an insect growth regulator (IGR) in your treatment process along with non-chemical methods. Please take a few moments to review our article and videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches.

    Q
Can I add a bit of water to re-hydrate dried Advion Cockroach Gel Bait?
    A

Advion Roach Bait Gel should be applied once every two weeks (cleaning up old bait placements prior to new applications) to keep the roaches attracted to the product. Adding water to the roach bait gel is not necassary and may reduce the efficacy.

    Q
Is Advion Roach Bait Gel toxic to house spiders should the spider consume them?
    A

The Advion Roach Bait Gel active ingredient would only work on roaches. However, if you are treating for roaches, you are also eliminating a food source for the spiders, so they may leave the area in order to find food elsewhere.

  • Asked by Saiha from Toronto, Ontario

    Q
Can you use Advion Roach Bait Gel if you see one roach, since they are attracted to this?
We had an infestation in our old condo building, but now that we have moved to our newly built house. I saw a roach in the kitchen drawer. Can I use this since I'm worried we might have brought some roaches with us? Or is it going to attract more roaches?
    A

Advion Roach Bait Gel is an actual food source for roaches. So if you have only seen one roach currently we would not recommend you put it out as it can attract roaches to the area. You could have brought them with you in boxes when moving. Monitor your areas, and should you see more roaches then we would recommend using the Advion at that time.

    Q
How do I clean out the small, blue injection pins filled with gel bait?
Hello. I've used the product and it works fine, but I can no longer use the 2 small, blue pins because it's filled with the gel bait. I've used warm water because nothing comes out. How can I remove the gel bait from inside the blue pin? Thank you.
    A

You might want to soak longer in hotter water. If a small amount is inside without blocking or causing difficulty dispersing the product it should be fine. Please let us know if you need anything else or if this is not effective.
