How to Get Rid of Pharaoh Ants
The active ingredient Dinofeturan in Alpine WSG and Imidaclopirid in Dominion 2L will give you the same results. Both active ingredients are non repellents and effect the nervous system resulting in death. Dinofeturan products are mostly EPA Reduced Risk and are more versatile meaning you can you them indoors and outdoors. Imidacloprid is strictly to be used outside the home.
Without knowing the specific type of ant you are treating for and if you're treating inside or outside the home, it is difficult to recommend one over the other. When treating for any species of ants, multiple treatments are usually required. Using a granule as a broadcast over the yard and liquid treatment against the structure will help not having to do monthly treatments. All this depends on the type of ant you are treating.
For example: Termidor SC is labeled for Carpenter Ants, Crazy Ants, Argentine Ants and other ant species including crazy rasberry ants and when applied as a perimeter treatment 1ft up and 1ft out from the structure can last 6 months. Talstar XTRA Granules is labeled for Ants (expect Pharoh Ants), including Carpenter Ants, & Imported Fire Ants. When applied as a broadcast over the entire lawn will last 2-4 months.

Talstar P has a residual of 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors. If outdoors, you would need to wait 30 days to apply Alpine WSG.
A single pack of Alpine WSG is applied to a gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft.
Alpine WSG and Temprid FX contain different active ingredients. Alpine WSG is water soluble granule whereas Temprix FX is a liquid concentrate. They are both labeled for cockroaches (as a portion of the treatment of this pest) if used as directed to listed areas. We do offer the Temprid FX in our Roach Control Kits here. Alpine WSG is not labeled for emerald ash borers in this particular formulation. We do have other products with a different active ingredient in it that can be used for a basal trunk treatment, such as Adonis 2F Insecticide. Be sure to check the label on the specifics on how much should be used per gallon of water.
It is not recommended to mix borax with Alpine WSG. It should be mixed with water and applied to listed areas. We recommend that you treat the raw wood with Bora-Care.
Alpine WSG does not contain sulfur per product label.
According to the label, Alpine WSG cannot be applied to the mattress. Keep in mind that the label is the law. If you'd like something safe to spray over the mattress, you can use something like Steri-Fab.

Alpine WSG is a water soluable granule which must be dissolved in water and sprayed. It can not be applied as a granular broadcast application.

You can use 10-30g of Apline WSG per gallon of water depending on which pest(s) you are treating. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions. NyGuard IGR is mixed at 3ml per gallon of water so you would need have the rate of each for the ½ gallon container of water used for application
It is not recommended to use Alpine WSG while it is raining outdoors. This will wash the product away, and it will not be effective for the pests your are attempting to eliminate. We would recommend waiting until it has been down for at least 6 hours before it rains.
