It contains Pyrethrins which guarantees quick knockdown of insect pests like aphids, armyworms, caterpillars, loopers, beetles, weevils, leafrollers, borers, flies, leafhoppers, leafminers, moths, whiteflies, ants, thrips, and more. It works by killing all stages -- larval, pupae and adult stage of listed insects through contact or through ingestion. This liquid formula is OMRI listed so it is ideal for organic gardening and is recommended for use on ornamentals, greenhouses, vegetables, fruits, bedding plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, and turf grasses. DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

It is recommended to treat a limited number of plants and observe for phototoxicity over a 10-day period.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Dilute in sufficient water to obtain thorough coverage.
  • Fill clean spray tank 1/2 to 3/4 of the water to be sprayed and begin agitation.
  • Add the appropriate amount of product to the spray tank.
  • Fill the tank with the remaining water and agitate thoroughly.
  • Adjust spray solution to pH of 5.5 - 7.0, if outside of that range.
  • Apply product promptly after mixing.
  • If the mixture is not applied immediately after mixing, agitate before application.

Start spraying as soon as listed insects first appear. Do not wait until plants are heavily infested. Repeat application as required to maintain effective kill, but not more than every 5-7 days. For foliar application, apply product in sufficient spray volume and with adequate spray pressure to ensure complete and thorough coverage of all plant surfaces including both the top and bottom of leaves. When pest pressure is extreme or plant canopy is dense, use higher specified rates and do not reapply within 24 hours. If possible apply in the early morning, or evening hours. The reduced UV exposure and lower temperatures will increase the performance and reduce the impact on pollinators.

Azera really does zap squash bugs!

    By Hunter on 08/18/2018

At last! An OMRI approved insecticide that kills small and medium squash bugs dead in their tracks. Even the big ones eventually succumb. So still get the eggs off the backs of the leaves, still use Diatomaceous Earth. And for those that remain choose Azera.

Sort Questions
Q
What does the label of Azera Gardening mean when it says to adjust spray solution to pH of 5.5 - 7.0, if outside of that range?
A

If the water you are using to dilute a product such as Azera Gardening does not have a neutral pH, or if the water is very hard or soft, then it may change the pH (acidity) of your diluted solution. Other products which are sometimes mixed with insecticides, such as fertilizers, can alter the pH of a final solution as well. If your final solution has a pH outside of the 5.5 – 7 range when tested, then you would want to use a buffering agent to adjust the pH. This is a common warning and practive with certain natural active ingredients since they can become unstable and breakdown (hence becoming ineffecitve) if the solution is too acidic or basic. For example, Brandt Indicate 5 is a surfactant which includes a pH indicator. You should be able to find pH test strips for water or solutions at many retailers.

Q
Is Azera Gardening safe for all pollinators and honeybees?
A

Azera Gardening should be applied early in the morning (or evening hours) as reduced UV exposure and lower temperatures will increase the performance and reduce impact on pollinators. It is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops when foraging in the treated area.

Q
Will Azera Gardening kill bagworms without harm to my Japanese Fire Maple?

This is a well established tree/shrub and I could not afford to replace the tree.

A

Azera Gardening can kill bagworms but only before they form the bag.  Once the bag is formed these pests are protected from chemical sprays.  If they have already formed the bag the best thing to do would be to pluck them off individually and drop into a bucket of soapy water.
