devastating
By Rex on 07/20/2019
Devastating herbicide that will slowly kill nice, non-target trees over the course of several years if they receive even a low dose by accident, drift, or root contamination from similar, treated plants nearby. The chemical breaks down in the soil or in sunlight, but it remains active in the woody plant until it is dead. Do not expect immediate results, but expect devastating results on both target and non-target plants. USE EXTREME CAUTION!

I purchased this product in the fall of 2012, to kill, out of control baltic ivy. I spayed a few times every 2 weeks. I noticed this spring that the product does work, although, I ended up pulling out the majority this spring. when the weather warms I will apply more to kill the remainder. some roots are still in the ground, and I want to make sure it all dies.

Is it effective against mature dormant trees? Someone online said to make a slit in the bark and paint it on. Is it dependent upon girdling the tree?

There is a tree beginning to grow, possibly maple, in my privot hedge. If I cut it to a stump, which would be about 3" in diameter, and brush on product, will it kill my hedge too?
If you are just brushing the Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate onto the stump directly it should not effect other plants in the area.

I used Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Concentrate in a field.
According to the manufacturer, after using the Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate the re-entry is 8 weeks per grazer. Bayer Advance does NOT recommend applying their products in pasture areas.

Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate is more for woody brush and vines. While it could kill grasses it was sprayed to we cannot recommend it for this use. For monkey grass, we would recommend spot treating with a glyphosate product such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant

Per the product label on the Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate there is no set time frame after it rains to apply, but you would want to wait until the ground is dry and there is no water puddled up. You would also need to be sure there will be no rain or water for 4 hours after application so the product has time to dry.
