I am trying to figure if there is a better product for the Solamist that won't clog the nozzles other than the one they provide. I live in south Florida and the spray goes around my back yard landscape/pool area I have children and small dogs.
Per the Solamist Mosquito and Insect Misting System Owners manual: You may also use Riptide, a pyrethrum-based product which is also effective at killing mosquitoes. Pyrethrum, a derivative of the chrysanthemum flower, also has very low toxicity. If you use your SolaMist infrequently, you may want to agitate the Riptide solution in your SolaMist reservoir with a clean stick occasionally. The SolaMist Pro Concentrate does also have surfactants and other cleaners in the formula which will keep the nozzles clean whereas others do not, for this reason the manufacturer recommends it as the best product to use in their system.
