Bifen IT is not labeled for treating grubs. We do carry several products that are labeled for grubs including Adonis 2F, Merit Granules, Milky Spore and Dylox. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Grubs for a successful eradication program.
When treating for Japanese Beetles, you will use 0.25 - 0.5 oz of Bifen IT per gallon of water on ornamental shrubs and trees. If you're treating your lawn, you will use 0.5 - 1.0 oz per gallon of water.
Bifen IT is applied at 0.25 fl oz- 0.5 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. NyGuard IGR is mixed at 4ml to 8ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft . These two products can be tank mixed in a handpump sprayer, backpack sprayer or mist blower. Fill the tank 1/2 way with water, add the recommended rate for the insecticide/IGR you are using (Bifen IT / NyGuard IGR), shake the solution and then fill the tank the remaining way with water. Tighten pump handle and shake sprayer solution again.
Bifen IT can be mixed at 0.5 – 1 oz. per gallon of water when treating whiteflies.
For most pests, you will use 1 oz. of Bifen IT per gallon of water, so you would need 4 oz. for your 4 gallon sprayer. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.

Imported Fire Ants: The best control will be achieved by using broadcast treatments in combination with mound drenches. This will control present colonies along with foraging workers and newly mated flyin queens. It is critical either to use high volume treatments or to irrigate prior to application if the soil is dry. Apply 1 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet when using broadcast treatments. For mound drenches, dilute 1 teaspoon of Bifen I/T per gallon of water and use 1 to 2 gallons of finished dilution using sufficient force to penetrate the top and allow dilution to flood ant channels.
